I use a fresh sponge for each child and the Kit is fully cleaned after each event.

The paints I use are approved for children’s skin by the EEC and FDA. They are best quality cosmetic grade face paint. Children with sensitive skin can have a patch test if requested or can have a design on their hand, arm, leg, etc. Artist (s) is not liable for allergic reactions to paints.

For safety reasons, children under 3 years old will not be painted. This is in conjunction with  manufacturer's guidelines.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Children 3 years and over are painted at the face painter's discretion - if the child appears unwiling to be painted, or cannot sit still then they will not be painted. This is to avoid distress and injury to the child.
For health reasons the artist will not paint anyone who is or appears to be suffering from; cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infectious skin condition, eczema or open wounds.

Removing the paint                                                                                                                                                                              Most face paints used on children’s skin are water based so will wash off with soap and water. Although some colours may leave a tinge of colour on the children’s skin. If a child has dry skin the face paint may stain a little. The hint of colour will disappear after a day or if soap and a warm flannel is used the next day. All face paint should be washed off before going to bed.
